I am looking for new window treatments and bedding for our bedroom. I have no idea what I am looking for though. Should I come into your showroom and look at fabrics before having someone come out?

You are always welcome to come into our showroom but we would recommend starting by having a designer come out to your home. It is a free in-home consultation and they will have all of their samples with them. Looking through fabric books can be overwhelming. Our decorators are great at listening to what you would like to achieve and making recommendations and suggestions to bring your thoughts to life. They will also be able to look at your windows and room and tell you what will or will not work and why.

I'm looking for help with choosing window treatments, laying out our waiting room and adding pictures & accessories to my office building to make it feel inviting when our customers walk in. Do you do commercial projects?

We offer both residential and commercial design services.  We can set up an appointment for one of our decorators to come to your office.  The initial consultation is free and they will come out with samples and ideas for your space.  They will be able to show you window treatment samples and options during that visit.  They will measure and take pictures of the space and set up a second appointment to show you layout and accessory ideas.

I’ve been looking for furniture and trying to come up with a new layout for my family room and I am overwhelmed. I’m scared to use a professional because I’ve heard that they don’t always listen to the customer’s ideas and can be expensive.

Flair takes a different approach to decorating.  Our initial, free in-home consultation will let you meet with a professional to discuss your ideas and come up with a plan to change your look.  We have clients who decorate the whole room and clients who add pieces over time.  Working with a professional helps ensure that you are making the right choices so that you will love your new room for years to come.

We have large transom windows in our great room that need some type of shade to protect our furniture from fading. They are approximately 14 feet of the ground. How can I make these operable? I’ve heard about motorizing, but isn’t that expensive?

Motorization for window treatments has made great advancements over the last few years. Most shades and blinds can be battery operated and controlled with a remote which eliminates the need for wiring and keeps the price very reasonable.

My wife and I just bought our first home and are confused about what window treatments would be best for us. We want to get the most for our money. What should we be looking for?

You're right to be concerned about what window treatments would be best for your home. Window treatments make an enormous difference in the style and enjoyment of your home. Besides adding to the beauty of your rooms, they can reduce your heating and cooling bills, enhance the quantity of natural light available and provide privacy where needed. Try to address five basic issues: style, comfort, light control, privacy and safety. The questions you have about window treatments can best be answered by having one of our professionals visit your home to show you samples of the endless variety of products available.

We've just purchased our first home and we can't afford to do everything at once. How do we make sure our window treatments won't be out of style before we can finish decorating the whole house?

Window blinds, shades and shutters are classic treatments that never go out of style. They're not just attractive, they're also highly functional. The beauty of these types of products is that they will add style to your rooms and provide light control and privacy. Then, as you add new furnishings you can add fabric style treatments to your windows to coordinate all of the decorative elements in your room. Many new homes are decorated in phases, so starting with items that may seem only functional makes a lot of sense because these products will last as long as you own your home.
